The painting on this Classical style amorpha vase is of exquisite quality. The skilfully elaborated form, flawless porcelain body, and perfect gilding testify to the high level of porcelain production at the Schlaggenwald manufactory during the Biedermeier period. It also offers insight into the contemporary use of copper engravings as models for paintings intended to commemorate important events.
